Top Questions, All in One Place

What happens if you need to miss a lesson?

If you need to miss a class, just email us at least 24 hours in advance (or anytime within the current month). We’ll mark you absent and give you a free makeup class. No-shows without notice won’t get a makeup. Makeups can be scheduled up to 7 days ahead and must be outside your regular class time.

Will my child have the same instructor each week?

We strive to keep the same coach each week for consistency, but occasionally a substitute may fill in if an instructor is sick or on vacation.

How do I cancel my recurring class?

There’s no cancellation fee, but if you need to stop lessons, a cancellation request must we written via email before the 1st of the month. We'll set your drop date accordingly so you that you no longer will be enrolled or charged.

What if it's raining?

We swim rain or shine. If there's lightning, we pause for 20 minutes after each strike. If your lesson is affected, we’ll contact you. Otherwise, assume we're open and running as usual.

What should we bring to our first class?

We ask that all swimmers arrive dressed and ready to swim. Non-potty-trained children must wear swim diapers. Swim caps and goggles are optional. Wetsuits are available to borrow at our Samohi location.

Don't forget your towel!

How does a recurring class work?

We swim year-round with month-to-month billing. You can join us at any time of the month, and we will prorate you for what is left in that 1st month. After that, auto-billing runs on the 1st of each month until you cancel. To avoid charges, cancellations must be sent in writing via email before the 1st of the month.

Can I do a one-time drop-in class?

Yes! Drop-in classes open up when enrolled swimmers miss a class, making a spot available for just that week. They're perfect if you want a pay-as-you-go option or want to try a class before committing to a recurring class. Drop-ins are priced the same as regular classes.

Can I be placed on a waitlist?

Yes! Our waitlist moves when a current family changes their time or stops swimming. Openings usually come up around the end or start of each month, and we contact the next person in line for that spot.
